My press

My press handstand journey began 4 years ago when I started taking a class with Jonathan Richard, an awesome yoga teacher in many ways.   I couldn't even do a simple handstand without a wall, to begin with.  I give Jonathan a lot of credit for where I am at now.

Also in order to execute the press handstand, I had to learn the unique anatomy of my body, which tremendously helped me understand how to correct the improper alignment.  My latest video still reveals the excessive lordotic curb and the rib flare at the top.  There is a lot of work involved in making progress towards a straight line handstand looks like a broomstick and slow descending to crow with perfect control and a calm mind.   Despite all the challenges I do love press handstand practice. It teaches me to focus and to stay in the moment. When the body perfectly aligns with the mind, I'm in bliss.

Enjoy the ride! Hey, what's the point of practice if you can not have fun with it :)
